We have got a great edition of Canadian gambling news in store for you this week as we discover Stakelogic’s two new contributions to iGaming and celebrate innovation with the OLG.

New Casino Games

Classic Reels

One of the two Stakelogic releases we’ll be taking a look at is Joker Wild Respins, which the studio produced in collaboration with Touchstone Games via the Greenlogic Partner Program. The slot adopts a classic 3-reel format with 27 paylines and iconic symbols like lemons, oranges and cherries.

The powerful Joker symbol presents the most potential, and three of them appearing during the base game will trigger the Joker Respins bonus.

The triggering symbols will transform into cherries, which become sticky and display 1x bet multipliers. The game will generate 3 respins where only cherries and Joker symbols can appear. If these symbols do land, they reset the respin count to 3, and if you get 9 cherries onto the board, you will receive a prize, and the process repeats with lemon symbols this time. If you can make it all the way up to a full set of sevens, you will claim the game’s biggest prize of 5000x your stake.

Don’t forget the Super Stake feature that doubles your bet but reduces the number of joker symbols required to trigger the bonus round to 2.

Salvatore Campione, the Head of Greenlogic at Stakelogic, said,

We have an incredible portfolio of classic slots, and Joker Wild Respins makes for a great addition. It takes the appeal of a classic slot but turbo-charges that gameplay with exciting bonuses that build anticipation and excitement with each spin.

Due for release on June 30 is Stakelogic’s Runner Runner Popwins, another fruit-machine-inspired game and the first title ever to integrate a licensed version of AvatarUx’s proprietary mechanic.

Slot machine mainstays like bells, lucky 7s, and BAR symbols adorn the reels alongside brightly coloured fruit icons. You can activate the super stake feature that doubles your bet but increases the chance of multipliers worth up to 100x appearing to boost your wins.

When you land wins, the PopWins mechanic kicks in, doubling the number of reel positions until the grid has grown from its starting 5x3 size to a maximum 5x6 with 15 552 ways to win. Once the grid is at its full size, the bonus round will activate. A bonus wheel will spin to award you up to 15 free spins with a maximum starting multiplier of 25x.

Winning is Back on the Table(s) at Gateway

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment has announced that table games will officially return to Gateway Casino Sault Ste. Marie. This is the first time they will run again since pandemic-related shutdowns with all six tables coming back to the gaming floor.

Robert Mitchell, the casino’s director of communication and public affairs, advised that three blackjack tables, one roulette table, and two novelty poker game tables would be open to the public again.

Mitchell added that Gateway and the rest of the hospitality industry are tentatively optimistic about their revenues returning to pre-pandemic levels during the summer.
