The Atlantic Lottery Corporation’s (ALC) new Scratch ‘n Win ticket innovation has hit the shelves to the excitement of lottery fans across the territory. This new product, named Retro Combo 3 in 1, is a combination of several popular board games all merged into a single thrilling ticket. For $10 you can purchase one and be in the running to win several cash prizes with the grand prize weighing in at $100,000.
The ALC is state-run and manages gambling and lottery offerings for Canada’s Atlantic Provinces. The organisation’s purpose is to provide gambling services at both land-based retailers and online operators while providing a safe and regulated environment. The corporation also funnels proceeds from gambling activities into support initiatives for the region.
Game On
Retro Combo 3 in 1 combines popular board games Scrabble, Connect 4, and Yahtzee. The ticket has a nostalgic design, crafted to immerse players in the joy of their childhood.
Brigitte Porelle Bourque, the Product Manager at the ALC, stated that board games are normally a nostalgic experience or memory for lottery fans. She added that offering players the choice of three different kinds of games will draw enthusiasts to the product. She explained that this new concept is meant to increase the appeal of Scratch ‘n Win tickets.
If you select the Scrabble segment, you will need to scratch the ticket off to reveal a selection of 12 letters. For each letter uncovered, you will have to reveal the same one in the WORDS section. If you discover a whole word, you will claim a corresponding prize.
If you choose Connect 4, you will have to scratch each row and search for matching consecutive symbols to claim an award.
The Yahtzee option has you completely scratch off each of the 6 Rolls. IF you discover a winning combination, there will be a prize in store for you. The possible winning combinations are 3 of a kind, 4 of a kind, full house, small and large straights, and Yahtzee.
Strategic Deals
The ALC has sought to keep its content appealing and compelling by recently signing a new content distribution deal with NeoPollard Interactive, a subsidiary of Pollard Banknote. The 5-year deal will see the provider supply the Crown corporation’s digital platform with iGaming content.
The ALC also recently secured a deal with Everi Digital in 20201. This agreement allowed Everi to supply its impressive iGaming portfolio of over 60 premium titles to the Crown.
