One lucky Saskatchewanian is one million richer, but that's not even the most shocking news because D'Arcy Glover has won the lottery twice.
The lucky winner achieved this statistical improbability when he won $1 million in the May 27 Western Max Lottery draw.
Glover revealed that he normally checks when the numbers are published, but he went to bed early and missed the draw on the day in question. After waking up at 3 am, he checked the numbers and realised that his uncommon luck had served him well again
He woke up his wife and told her, "I think I just won another million."
Glover's first lottery win was also a $1 million prize that he claimed from the Lotto Max Maxmiillions in July 2018.
He described winning twice as a "really good feeling" and said he doesn't plan to change much in his life, despite his momentous windfall.
Glover isn't Canada's only two-time lottery winner. A P.E.I. resident named Gary McCourt claimed a massive $8.6 million win in April 2022 from the Lotto 6/49 draw. This win followed a $100 000 that he won in 2015, also from Lotto 6/49.

Toronto preps for SiGMA
This year, the SiGMA Americas Summit, an annual international gaming festival, will be hosted in Toronto. The Enercare Centre will host the four-day event where iGaming industry leaders can network, share innovations, and make vital connections with new investors.

International Game Technology (IGT) recently announced that 960 units of its Cobalt 27 video lottery terminals (VLTs) are destined for the Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Corporation (MBLL), marking this product's first appearance in Canada.
