Bonus Features

The game offers a pair of potent bonus features that make winning a blast.

Link&Win

When I managed to get 6 or more vault money symbols to land anywhere on the reels, I set off what I assume was a burglar alarm and the triggering vault symbols became sticky on a refreshed grid where all other positions were empty.

I was given 3 respins, and each new cash vault or jackpot symbol that landed would reset my respins to 3. The Mini, Minor, Major and Mega jackpot symbols paid 20x, 50x, 200x and 1,000x my stake, respectively, while the 5000x Grand jackpot required me to fill the entire grid symbols. Achieving this would end the feature as would just running out of respins where all the cash and jackpot symbols on the screen would be added up and paid out.

Free Spins

Landing 3, 4, or 5 golden key scatters unlocked 10, 15, or 25 free spins, respectively. I was presented with a temporarily enhanced middle reel where only special vault symbols that doubled as wilds appeared for the duration of the feature. This reel worked well to increase my chances of either triggering Link&Win or landing high-value combos. Landing another 3 or 4 scatters would retrigger this feature.

Conclusion

Bust the Mansion slot plays it safe, which makes for lacklustre safe-cracking. The theme is inoffensive and subdued, which is an odd choice for a game that I assumed was a spiritual successor of sorts to the visually arresting Bust the Bank. Looking at the features, there isn’t anything we’ve seen here before. The integration of Link&Win with free spins is almost a guaranteed winning formula as they deliver varied and valuable winning opportunities when working in concert.

I can’t fault this slot from a technical perspective and the maximum potential prize per spin of $250 000 is a handsome incentive, unfortunately, the gameplay experience is just competent rather than excellent and in a market filled with exciting content, this one may get lost in the crowd.
