One of the most anticipated golf tournaments is quickly approaching, with the first major of the year and the prestigious green jacket up for grabs at The Masters.

World number one and favourite, Scottie Scheffler, aims to become only the third player in history to win the coveted green jacket in back-to-back years.

He faces stiff competition from the likes of John Rahm and Rory McIlroy, who have all been in a battle in 2023 for the top spot in the rankings.

Of course, we can’t forget about the returning breakaway stars in the LIV golf organization bidding to become champions again.

That’s before we even get to five-time Augusta hero Tiger Woods, who last claimed an emotional success here in 2019.

The team at SlotsOnlineCanada.com crunched the numbers and ranked which golfers have earned the most, per shot, at The Masters in the last decade, ahead of this year’s tournament in April.

Our data found that defending champion Scheffler has earned a huge $3,548 per shot at The Masters, which is over $400 more than the second-placed Will Zalatoris.

The 2015 champion Jordan Spieth has earned the most in Augusta over the last 10 years with his efforts bringing in well over five million dollars. When looking per shot, the Dallas, Texas native has earned $2,171 which was enough to put him in the top three earners per shot in our ranking.

The iconic Woods shocked the world four years ago when he won his first major in over a decade at The Masters. The ‘Big Cat’ hasn’t enjoyed his best golf in the last 10 years but has still earned a more than respectable $1,591 per shot at Augusta.

Northern Ireland’s McIlroy came close to winning his first major since 2014 during last year’s tournament where he finished as the runner-up. If he gets off to a good start, could this finally complete the career grand slam?

Despite never winning The Masters, McIlroy can take some consolation in the fact that the tournament has earned him just under four million dollars total in prize money and $1,451 per shot since 2013.
