A grocery clerk in Hamilton has revealed his plans for his momentous lottery win, stating that he intends to invest in real estate, sports memorabilia, and a vacation once he can travel safely again.

The 19-year-old Zachary Zampini, won a $250,000 prize from the OLG - Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation after buying a winning Double Diamond scratch ticket that he purchased from Han’s Rainbow Super Variety on Rymal Road.

“I scratched my ticket in the store and saw I had three pineapples. I didn’t react at first because I didn’t believe it!” Zampini said after collecting his cheque in Toronto.

The first people Zampini informed about the great news were his parents.“I sat them down at the table and told them, they were excited for me.”

The $250k prize is the maximum prize winnable from the Double Diamond scratch game. This news comes hot on the heels of news of another massive lottery win.
