Keith Brown of Burlington took a random chance at fortune and soon found himself with more than enough to share with his family.
The $1-million Lotto Max winner revealed in an interview that he plans to share his windfall with his children.
Brown recalled that he had purchased the ticket in June from K C’s Variety on Walker’s Line and from the beginning had intended to share the MaxMillions prize if he ever won.
“When I went to the store and scanned the ticket, I saw big winner. Seeing that was very rewarding. It takes a load off,” Brown smiled.
Brown’s two children are Mathew, who lives in Hamilton and Shelby who resides in Burlington. When quizzed about what they plan to do with their shares they both responded that they will be putting it into investments.
As for the generous dad, he intends to use his portion to fund a trip out east, buy a YMCA membership and get a new car.
