Playtech’s latest exciting announcement reveals that the company plans to bring silver screen magic to the casino industry with three new “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” branded live games.
The titles will be created in partnership with Sony Pictures Television, the current owner of the exclusive license for the TV show.
The 5-year plan
Playtech Live’s CEO, Edo Haitin, said “Our vision at Playtech Live is to deliver the best possible entertainment experience. This centres around building game show content that is underpinned by leading global brands, and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? has proven consistently over the years to be an absolute favourite worldwide.“
The planned titles will boost Playtech's impressive catalogue of engaging content that includes online slots and live game shows. Haitin stated that these new games will give players the chance to “experience first-hand the thrill and excitement of playing one of the most enduring game show formats in television history that is what an entertainment-led experience is all about.”
The games will be created over the next five years with Playtech and Sony working in tandem.
This new development comes two months after Playtech announced a partnership with IGT, geared at growing its footprint in the US market.
Shimon Akad, Playtech’s COO was enthused about working with an international giant like Sony. HE stated that his company is proud of its inclusion in the project.
He wrapped up, saying, “Securing prestigious brands like this is a key pillar of our content strategy as we look to deliver the most engaging responsible gambling entertainment experience in the market,” he said.
