A new truck and a tractor are now a reality for a fortunate farmer from Woodville, Ontario, thanks to his recent lottery windfall.
OLG reported that Charles Graves won $100,000 in its Instant Double Your Money game. The community of Woodville is located in the City of Kawartha Lakes and lies about 30 kilometres northwest of Lindsay.
Graves said that he has been playing the lottery for decades and has always bought instant tickets.
He recalled that he had checked his ticket while purchasing gas, saying “The clerk started jumping up and down and said, ‘You’re a big winner.’ She was more excited than I was.”
Graves appears to be in no hurry to spend his winnings but some concrete plans are starting to take shape in his mind.
“I’m going to replace my truck, which has 300,000 kilometres on it,” he said. “And I’d like to get a tractor with an air-conditioned cab,” he revealed.
Graves purchased the winning ticket at Ben’s Pharmacy on King Street in Woodville, and is the second farmer to win a big lottery prize this year.
