A mere three weeks after the release of The Paying Piano Club video slot, Swedish iGaming developer Play‘n GO is back with two new five-reel, 20-payline games with House of Doom 2: The Crypt and The Green Knight.
In an official press release, the developer revealed that House of Doom 2: The Crypt is a sequel to the 2018 title, House of Doom, and revives its gothic gameplay with four songs by the up-and-coming rock band, The Crypt. The high-energy songs are titled Metal Priestess, Into the Crypt, Mistress of Fire, and I Love the Darkness.
Collaborative crescendos
House of Doom 2: The Crypt is fully optimised for mobile and boasts a 94.25% RTP. Play’n GO stated that this is its ‘first music slot sequel’, with the company having previously developed games in partnership with metal bands like Annihilator, Candlemas, Sabaton, and Testament.
The developer emphasised that the ‘thumping soundtrack is accompanied by several great aspects’ that include wilds, expanding wilds, multipliers, re-spins, and symbol swaps that could help you claim prizes worth up to 6,000 times your stake.
Design drill-down
Martin Zettergen, the Chief Product Officer at Play‘n GO stated in the press release that the creating of an exceptional music-themed video slot requires great gameplay and ‘not relying just on the band to draw in players’.
Zettergen further stated, “You need to make sure that it would still be a game that players would enjoy if you stripped away the slot’s band theme. That way, it keeps players entertained and appeals to people that might not necessarily be fans of the music.”
Armoured potential
In a second press release, Play‘n GO re-publicised the recent premiere of its medieval-themed slot, The Green Knight. The game has a 94.25% RTP and a compelling maximum potential payout of 10,000x your stake.
The developer revealed that The Green Knight forms part of its Arthurian family of titles, the first of which was released in January. The five-reel, ten-payline Lord Merlin and the Lady of the Lake slot introduced players to this new thematic series. The slot retells the mythical tale of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and introduces ‘secondary characters with their own stories to tell’.
Zettergen wrapped up his statement, saying that this mobile-friendly tile will command the attention of online casino players with a combination of free spins, scatters, sticky wilds, and a 100x Shield Spins multiplier with ‘huge wins’ waiting in the wings.
