Microgaming recently revealed that it intends to boost its online casino vertical with a range of new poker titles for all operators that host its content.
This move comes soon after Microgaming’s closure of its Microgaming Poker Network (MPN) that had operated for 16 years. The closure of the network was due, in large part, to the reduction of player liquidity levels across its network. The developer is seeking to fill the void left by the disappearance of the MPN with the introduction of the new poker titles.
Poker enthusiasts will be able to play Microgaming’s Hold’Em Poker first, with other titles such as Lucky Showdown set for release soon after.
CEO at Microgaming, John Coleman, offered his take on the news of the new releases, saying, “Hold’Em Poker will add a new dimension to our online casino vertical, introducing a range of fun and exciting poker games to our platform. These games, designed to appeal to both poker and casino players, will deliver even further choice to our customers as we continue to diversify and innovate our content offering.”
