The British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) recently revealed the winners of one of its lottery games. Carmen and Clinton Crossman were pleased to discover they had lucked out with their Set for Life scratch-off ticket that earned them an impressive $675 000 prize.
In 2021, the BCLC has already paid out over $10 000,000 in Set for Life prizes. The tickets can be purchased online on PlayNow.com, fom physical retail outlets, or via the BCLC Lotto! App on Android or iOS devices.
The winning couple confirmed their good fortune with a visit to a BCLC office. They announced that they had bought their lucky scratch ticket at Super Save Gas on Front Street in Quesnel.
Ms Crossman discovered the massive win when scratching the ticket at her car and then contacted Mr Crossman straight away to share the spectacular news. She related how she was initially in a state of disbelief and found herself shaking as the reality of the situation dawned on her.
The couple shared that they plan to use the windfall to buy their first home and to facilitate early retirement for both of them.
Huge Wins All-Around
The beginning of October saw the BCLC announce that a British Columbia resident took home a massive Lotto Max prize. The unnamed winner, who resides somewhere in Burnaby, claimed a spectacular $70 000,000 jackpot prize, the largest ever in the province’s history.
The record-breaking Lotto Max win was followed up shortly by a $5.8 million prize, won by another BC resident, from the Lotto 6/49 jackpot Wednesday, October 6 draw. This was half of the total prize with the other portion going to a ticket holder in Ottawa.
The BC winner has not stepped forward to claim their prize as yet, but they still have 52 weeks from the date of the draw to contact the agency and secure their prize before it expires. (Photo: BCLC)
