British Columbia’s Cascades Casino Delta project has taken another step towards completion with a new announcement by Gateway Casino and Entertainment, the company behind the initiative. The company has advised that the hospitality division of the complex now has an operator in the form of the Marriot Hotel.
The new complex will be located at the highway 99 and highway 12A interchange, but it appears it still may take some time before a grand opening announcement is made.
From the Ground Up
The Cascades Casino Delta looks to be one of the largest construction projects of its type ever undertaken in Canada. The casino is set to occupy a huge 40,000 square feet with a selection of 600 premium cabinets. Table game aficionados will also be fully catered for, with 30 tables offering popular games like Roulette, Baccarat, and Blackjack among others.
Jeff Krivoshen from PR Hotels will be heading up hospitality at the complex and has expressed delight at the chance to work with the internationally renowned Marriott Hotels and Gateway Casino and Entertainment. He was upbeat about the project, elaborating that the fact that it is situated a mere 15-minute drive from Vancouver International Airport and an equal distance from the Tsawwassen Ferry makes it ideally located.
Community Benefits
Karl Miller, Meridian Developments’ representative, stated that the Cascades Casino Delta represents great opportunities for the City Of Delta. He explained that, aside from attracting crowds of tourists, many conferences and conventions would also be coming to the area. He pointed to the appealing geographical location of the site gives it a significant advantage over its closest competitors.
The new Marriott Hotel destined for the venue is rumoured to have a planned height of 5 stories tall a room capacity of approximately 120, although official details have not been publicised as yet.
