If you look at the image below, you will see that the controls to spin, set Autoplay, and change your bet are all to the right of the reels. There is also a menu button that lets you open the paytable and more options.
Landing three at least three scatters on the same spin will trigger 12 free spins. If you land 5 you will also win a prize worth 200x your bet.
While the free spins are running, any wins you land will get a random multiplier boost of 2x to 7x. A special treasure chest acts as a wild symbol, and with the regular wild also appearing, you get even more winning chances.
You can ‘test drive’ this slot before putting down your first real money bet. All you have to do is play a free demo version, which will give you endless free credits so you can take your time getting used to the gameplay.
Upon opening up Avalon, I noticed that the symbol design and layout of the slot were pretty simple, but as we know, simple design doesn't mean it’s a wrong slot in slots. I was eager to get started, set my bet amount to 2 credits, and spun the reels. A few spins went by without any luck, only winning back very much, so I increased the bet size to 4 credits per spin, hitting a decent win of 10 and another win about the same size. I increased the bet size last time, almost immodestly hitting a few decent wins of 10 and 123 credits return. This was unfortunately not enough to launch me into profit, finishing this 25 spin experience about 36.50 credits below what I started with.
Results:Unfortunately, in this session, I was unable to experience a big win, but in no way is this game not worth trying. This slot stuck to the basics and delivered a very engaging playing experience. It gives you a sense of an old land-based casino slot that is appealing enough to get people interested as it feels like a classic slot, not to mention the 105,000 max jackpot amount.
Avalon is a fine game with solid features, but it could be more exciting with a few tweaks. I loved how the theme explored a part of the legend of King Arthur that doesn’t get much attention, and the graphics, while a bit dated, still got me into the mood to play. The free spins round is super rewarding, thanks to the extra wilds and random multiplier, but I feel like a bonus during the bonus game would have been the cherry on top. For more slot action with a medieval edge, play Game of Thrones.
