When you land one or more Fireballs on the reels, they will be collected by a matching Egg above the reels. When this happens, Area Link can randomly trigger. The Area Link features triggered will depend on the colours of the collected Fireballs.
You will get 3 respins where all Fireball symbols that land will stay locked in place until the feature ends. Each new Fireball that lands will reset your remaining respins to 3 and every Fireball will display a cash or jackpot value which will be paid out to you when the feature ends. Activate the Green Phoenix Upgrade to add Green Fireballs to the reels. On every spin where they land, their prize values will be boosted by a random amount.
You can trigger the Area Link feature with multiple Phoenix upgrades at the same time, and this can have some interesting effects.
If you trigger the Orange and Purple Upgrades together, the Orange multiplier will apply to all new Yellow Fireballs on both reel sets. If you combine Orange and Red, the multiplier will boost to the Yellow Fireball that appears after the Red Fireball vanishes.
When Orange and Blue work together, the multiplier will be applied before the Blue Fireball activates. If you trigger Orange and Green together, the Orange multiplier will apply to the boosted Green Fireball prizes.
If Red and Purple are active, the Red Fireballs will only collect values on their own reel set. When both Red and Blue are active, the Blue Fireball effects will kick in before the Red Fireball performs its collect action. Blue and Purple being active at the same time will cause Blue Fireballs to only boost Yellow Fireballs in their own reel set.
When one or more Phoenix Fireballs land, the Area Link bonus can activate with random Phoenix Upgrades.
