NetEnt and Gaumont Sign Deal to Create "Narcos" Themed Slot Game

NetEnt, the Swedish Casino online games developer, has signed a deal with Gaumont International Television. Gaumont International Television is the American division of the French Gaumont. The French Gaumont, founded in 1896, is the first and oldest film company in the world.

This deal looks at producing a slot game, based on the famous American television series Narcos. This American crime drama web television series, nominated for the Golden Globe and Emmy, is expected to premiere its season 4, early September this year.

The series, which premiered for the first time in August 2015, was acclaimed by consumers and critics alike. According to the Press Release, the series has risen in popularity consistently.

Season 3, which premiered on 1 September 2017, was the most in-demand digital original in the U.S. It was also one of the top five in-demand shows globally.

Narcos, being a Netflix exclusive, has an audience in more than 130 countries in the world. Being housed in the largest digital media and Entertainment Company just adds to Narcos' value. The "Narcos" series became an overnight sensation, the world over, with a huge fan base.

The new Narcos branded slot title, created and developed by NetEnt, will be based on this action-packed series, as announced at ICE 2018, during a special introduction.

NetEnt already has a growing portfolio of branded online slots games, after it secured rights of world-renowned titles like Jumanji, Guns N Roses and Planet of the Apes.
