NetEnt unveils slot based on legendary jockey

NetEnt are renowned in the gaming software industry for coming up with creative and innovative ways to increase gaming pleasure through their titles. So, it comes as no surprise that NetEnt migrated into the sports gambling scene, by partnering up with legendary jockey, Peter Scudamore, to bring out online slots themed on horse racing.

But who is Peter Scudamore?

If you’re not a big fan of the races, then the name Peter Scudamore won’t ring a bell. True fans, however, will be very familiar with the legendary jockey who made a name for himself by riding over 1,600 winners during his 15-year jockey career. In fact, Peter Scudamore is probably one of the best-known jockeys in the sport. The retired jockey was an eight-time champion, and in addition received an MBE for his services to the sport of horse racing. His last win was on the 7th of April 1993 riding Sweet Duke at Ascot.

New life after retirement

NetEnt has managed to coax Scudamore out of retirement to become the star in his own slot game. The game will be titled Scudamore’s Super Stakes, and is set to be released at NetEnt casinos during the 2018/19 National Hunt Season.

According to Bryan Upton from NetEnt’s game products division, the slot marks an industry-first partnership with a sporting personality, and will feature high-quality graphics, sounds and bonus features.

Forging commercial partnerships to create slots is familiar territory to NetEnt, and they’ve had loads of success with recent titles based on popular entertainment franchises, such as Guns ‘n Roses, Motorhead, Jimi Hendrix, Jumanji and Planet of the Apes.
